Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week

Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is one of the greatest global health threats of our time. When bacteria evolve to resist the medicines used to treat infections, it makes these infections harder to treat, leading to longer illnesses.

During Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of using antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines responsibly. Together, we can help slow the spread of resistance, protect our health, and ensure effective treatments for future generations.

What You Can Do:

  • Only use antibiotics when prescribed by a healthcare professional.
  • Complete your full course of treatment, even if you feel better.
  • Never share or use leftover antibiotics.
  • Prevent infections with good hygiene and vaccinations.

Join us in the fight against AMR. Your actions today can help preserve the power of antibiotics for tomorrow!
